Miniature Shabby Chic Game Boards

Good morning friends, as promised, here's what I worked on until the wee hours of the night. I wanted something for my shabby friends. I think they turned out nicely.
Now I'm going away to open that Etsy shop. I've already started, the task is daunting, but I have to get it done. I'm sure I will have some surprises when it's all completed. I will let you know when I'm up and running.
Thank you for friending me, complimenting my work and keeping me inspired, I absolutely love this job!

7 Miniature Vintage Game Boards

Final Vintage Game Board Collection

Below are the final game boards I created based off of vintage boards I found on the internet. They are distressed to give an aged vintage quality. The boards turned out exactly the way I envisioned. I will be selling these on Etsy, but I don't have many. Possibly a "made to order" sale if they sell out.

Miniature Vintage Wood Signs and Game Boards

After many hours of testing, I finally figured out how to create miniature vintage "wood" signs. I initially wanted to use this method with Vintage Game Boards, but thought it would be nice to have a lemonade sign made out of wood too. I am really happy with the way they turned out. Below are my testers, I have a few more designs I want to make, but I will surely have these for sell in my upcoming Etsy shop.

Miniature Madness!

Going Crazy with Miniature French Tin Signs

Ending out the week with these little bitty, bitty French number signs. They have a rusted tin backing and rusted around the front to give an "aged, look what I found at the french flea market" look. I have 4 sets (0-9). They will be sold on Etsy, but I am not quite sure how I should sell them, as a set of 10 or individually??? Any suggestions?

Designing Vintage Miniature Signs

Yesterday I spent most of the day playing around in Photoshop. I was thinking Vintage Circus.  I found 4 great images on the Graphic Fairy website and went to work. The wording came straight from the dictionary. The final result is this group of vintage circus theme signs; an elephant, bear, giraffe and zebra. These will be sold together. I will have 5 sets of these in my Etsy store ready to go when I open.

I also spent some time creating a lemonade sign. I turned out pretty nice. I only made one for testing, but I'm happy with it, so I will be making a bunch more to sell. Finally, I created a bunch of simple signs. They really do add an extra punch.
Hmmm, just realized that the text is not centered on the circus tins, will have to fix that before they are sold.

Miniature Pie Shelf and Vintage Bread Keeper Shelf

Additions to the Miniature Cottage/Vintage Shelf Collection

I was finally able to finish the 2 wall shelves I have been working on this past week. The pie shelf turned out really nice. It has a screen door that opens and a shelf inside to store those wonderful mini pies.
I was going for a vintage vibe on the second one. There is a door that opens for keeping your mini bread fresh.

Miniature Quilt Holder

Shabby Style Quilt Holder and Hand Knitted Throw

I got a call from my cousin who said, "you should make a quilt holder". She sent me a photograph of the one she has in her home. I immediately go to work. Here's the final. It will be sold in my upcoming
Etsy store along with the hand knitted throw. (Not the monkey, I fought hard for that one on ebay!).
I think it's really cute.

A Peek at New Stuff

Checking in…

Just wanted to check in. I have been working super hard on some new things. First, I'm am obsessing on miniature metal vintage inspired signs. I think have created at least 50 this week. I have also put my graphic skills (along with images from Graphics Fairy) to use and designed a few. I absolutely love them and will be selling lots of signs in my Etsy store.
I also have been working on 2 new wall shelves. They are almost complete and look pretty cool. They both have little doors that open.
Finally, crates…not just any ol' crate. These are long and thin with rusted metal handles. I have white, weathered wood, old white, red and one vintage green one. They will be sold with a "Fresh Eggs" vintage sign and a few eggs.
Below are a few photos, of work in progress.

Miniature Metal Vintage Signs

Miniature Metal Vintage Signs Are Coming to fabulouslyflawedminiatures…

Spent a few days this week figuring out how to create lovely miniature metal signs, rusted and all. They are made with a metal backing to emulate the real thing. Below are a few examples of what I will have in my upcoming Etsy shop. I love, love, love them!

Back to Working in Wood!

Okay, so the last 2 weeks I have focused on creating mattresses and ottomans, a lot of work, but I got through it... I could not wait to finish!
Today (still waiting on supplies for the Bistro Set), I was able to get back to my first love…building things out of wood. I focused on a shelf I had been thinking about recently. Here's what I finished this morning. I am working on one more that is vintage style. I may get a chance to finish today. If so, I will post today if not, tomorrow.
I like it so much that I plan on making a few more with the brownish weather wood I stained and possibly a few that are painted.
This little cutie will be sold in my Etsy shop.

Miniature Ottomans

Miniature Ottomans for your lovely rooms…

While waiting for a few orders to come in for the Bistro set, I decided to make a bunch of miniature ottomans that I will be selling in my Etsy shop. I started off with a few…but kept going and going and ended up with 12. (What is it with that number?). Here's a peek. They are really cute (I made little buttons too). Round, square, oval and rectangle.
